I just finished demoing a song that I wrote with Canadian songwriter Kurt Hagan called "All Work and No Play" It's a tongue in cheek song about a guy who works real hard at playing.
We are hoping Kenny Chesney will record it for his Lifestyles album. It has a real Jimmy Buffet attitude.

There was a great article written about me in the Tennessean, which is Nashville's daily newspaper. I want to be just like the guy in the article. you can find it at this link

There is a misprint where it says the Nation Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is using the song as their theme song.
The song is available on my home page to download for free.

Just wanted to let you all know of the continuing good fortune that has been coming my way in the world of songwriting.

I wrote a song recently with an old friend Jackie Carlyle titled "Into the Light" It was written from the viewpoint of a Hospice worker. The Nathan Adelson Hospice, one of the first free standing in-patient in America had asked to use the song as their theme song but unfortunately because of copyright issues it cannot take place. I performed the song at the world famous Bluebird Cafe this January for their Alive Hospice benefit concert series.
What a tremendous honor to have this song chosen for such a great purpose. I will post the song on my website for a free sample listen in the next few weeks www.brucemichaelmiller.com

Another song I co-wrote recently with Nancy Terzian titled "Ain't Going Crazy Anymore" has won the Terri Clark Nashville Songsearch Contest in the crossover category. Terri is a big country star and will be presenting us the award at her concert next Tuesday in Nashville and it also just happens to also be MY BIRTHDAY. Guess what I won......an all expenses paid three day vacation to.........................NASHVILLE! It will be fun and we perform the song live at the world famous Bluebird Cafe the next day. http://www.nashvillesongsearch.com/NSS%20Category%20Winners.html

Last but not least I am performing a radio show for NPR called the songwriter sessions with two other great Nashville writers Wood Newton and Kathy Hussey. I will let you all know when it will be aired. Those out of the listening area can get it via webcast at WPLN.com
Thanks for your interest and ongoing support.
Blessings and Love for the new year.

I wanted to thank you all who supported my CD promotion in August. I did really well and almost sold enough CDs to win the contest but didn't by about 7 sales. I was disappointed but very moved by the support of so many of y'all out there.

The good news is that I was a semifinalist in the TAXI CD of the year contest for 'Already Somebody' I didn't even know I was entered but it happened all the same. Sort of cool.

The GREAT NEWS is that Steve Holy, an up and coming country star who's first album was number 1 for five weeks this year has recorded one of my songs for his next album. The song is "THat's Where Your Love Comes In' and is on my CD. He has a great producer, a very successful record label (CURB Records) and a great voice and we are pretty sure the song will be a single AND OF COURSE GO TO NUMBER 1.
I will be writing to you all when it is on the radio. I will need you to call your local country stations to request it.
I've had a flurry of interest lately in several other songs I've written for country artists and I am working with an old high school friend who is helping me with promotion and marketing.
I have a new version of a song from my CD which is a song of support for the soldiers in Iraq and soldiers everywhere. It is available on the home page of my website as a free MP3 download.
I am hoping you will all get it and pass it around to everyone that you know.

I just received an email from a radio station in Belgium who has added my cd to their playlist. I hope to be a star in Belgium soon. Here's the text to the email I got. It's so exciting.
Dear Bruce,

Welcome to the new site everyone. There is so much going on it's hard to know where to start. I've been getting so much great positive feedback about the new CD and I appreciate any and all words of kindness about it. I am thinking up ways to get the CD into the marketplace so be sure to email or phone me if you have any great ideas. Tell all your friends about the handspring visor giveaway. For every CD you buy you get a chance to win a handspring visor which is a very cool digital diary. I used it to help me keep track of the recording and mixing process for "Already Somebody"
It came in very handy.
