Just wanted to let you all know of the continuing good fortune that has been coming my way in the world of songwriting.
I wrote a song recently with an old friend Jackie Carlyle titled "Into the Light" It was written from the viewpoint of a Hospice worker. The Nathan Adelson Hospice, one of the first free standing in-patient in America had asked to use the song as their theme song but unfortunately because of copyright issues it cannot take place. I performed the song at the world famous Bluebird Cafe this January for their Alive Hospice benefit concert series.
What a tremendous honor to have this song chosen for such a great purpose. I will post the song on my website for a free sample listen in the next few weeks

Another song I co-wrote recently with Nancy Terzian titled "Ain't Going Crazy Anymore" has won the Terri Clark Nashville Songsearch Contest in the crossover category. Terri is a big country star and will be presenting us the award at her concert next Tuesday in Nashville and it also just happens to also be MY BIRTHDAY. Guess what I won......an all expenses paid three day vacation to.........................NASHVILLE! It will be fun and we perform the song live at the world famous Bluebird Cafe the next day.

Last but not least I am performing a radio show for NPR called the songwriter sessions with two other great Nashville writers Wood Newton and Kathy Hussey. I will let you all know when it will be aired. Those out of the listening area can get it via webcast at WPLN.com
Thanks for your interest and ongoing support.
Blessings and Love for the new year.
